Hello again. Back with another If It's Tuesday, This Must be Belgium.
And I'm a day early (assuming I remember to post this before I leave on Monday). As I mentioned last week (I think), I'll be heading down to Rome Monday night to attend a big conference for a couple of days. And then on Thursday I fly from Rome to Boston (via New York City), spend two days both north and south of Boston before flying on Sunday to Spain for a week split between Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona. Then back up to Brussels to put in some time at work, followed by a weekend in Paris. And then the real fun begins.
So next Tuesday there may not be an article. I'll try, but I'm not sure my internet access options yet. But the week after should be a big one, with lots of photos of Spain.
This week I'll go back in time a few years to give you a glimpse of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State and Oregon.
You of course have already met my dead tree (of my icon fame). This is actually taken near Mount Hood in Oregon looking north to Mount Adams.

This is Mount Hood

Moving further north is Mount St. Helens

And even further north into Washington State is Mount Rainier

A close up of one part of it (the left of the photo above)

Naturally, there are valleys in between the mountain peaks. Here's an area in the shadows of Mount Rainier.

Another view of Mount Rainier in the sunlight

A little friend I made in between hikes

And finally, though not technically in the Cascades, is Multnomah Falls outside of Portland, Oregon along the Columbia River Gorge. A beautiful site. If you've never been up to that part of the world, these falls alone are enough to book your trip.

Okay, that's enough from memory lane (for now).
I'll try to get access so I can post next week from Spain. Happy travels all.

Safe Journeys
Great shots of the mountains, and the chipmunk.
Now, to sleep.
Thanks so much for posting to my group All Photo Essays Here!
My husband and kids live in Bonney Lake Washington that is in the shadow of Mt. Rainier - on Hwy 410.
I love driving to our home because you get the most exquisite views of Mr. Ranier straight ahead!
I flew over Mt. St. Helens the summer after it blew.
I wouldn't live anywhere else in the United States!
Good luck on your business trips and happy vacationing. I hope you get some time to enjoy Rome!
Thanks for posting to The Vacation Spot
Now I'm not sure if I'll get this Tuesday's edition up or not. I'll try, even if it's just a tickle. :)
Will check in when I can.
