Not long ago, a Veteran's Memorial was built in Bakersfield on Truxtun Ave right across the street from the library and by the Train Station.

On the other side is a fountain:
Flags from different military branches surround it.
There are flowers close by on the sidewalk. Someone stuck a US flag in with them. You can't tell but the flag has a Thank you ribbon on it.
You are then able to walk over to a litle area where you can look up Veterans.
