Surprise Birthday Party

Today we had a surprise birthday party at the church for the preacher's wife, Neva. She came in while they were decorating for the birthday party and was told it was for Grant, who is an elder. We had a small cake and birthday card for Grant setting on the stainless steel kitchen table.

 

Then all the cars started arriving. She looked and said,

" All these people came to Grant's Birthday Party."

Then Neva and her husband Ed came in and we sang Happy Birthday. Her mouth dropped open.

 

We served dinner and had her cut the cake afterwards.

Wonderful people do wonderful things---you are one of those people---how better would the world be if planing birthday parties would replace planing on how to invading some country who's thinking is not of your own.

I love surprise birthday parties. They are always such fun. I myself have never had one but I have thrown quite a few of them.
