Where did you go? How did you get there? What did you do? Where did you stay? What made it memorable? How old were you? Who did you go with? Did you bring back any soveniers? Do you still have them? Anything you can think of to tell us - we want to hear!
I'll start.
My parents took my brother and I to Florida - New mexico Beach. Our best friend Sam went with us. We stayed in a camper that belonged to a friend of my dads. The dining room table folded down to make a bed = that is where my parent's slept. There was a bench seat across from the table, that is where I slept, There were two bunk beds on the end and there is were my brother and Sam slept. There was a small bathroom and a little shower and one electric cooking eye. I think we had a toaster oven , small fridge and a small TV. Somehow my mom managed to make us all pancakes and bacon every morning. the camper hooked up to an electric meter outside and it was 2 a day to stay. We had sandwiches for lunch and ate dinner at the seafood buffets.
During the day, we spent it at the beautiful beach collecting seashells and jumping up when the waves hit. I was 6. My brother and Sam were 5. It was the most magical 3 days I'd ever spent as a child. I'll never forget the feel of sand and the sight of endless water. I wasn't able to go back to the ocean until I graduated high school and it just wasn't the same.
I still have those seashells. I didn't know it at the time, but it was the first time my mom had seen the ocean also. So it was just as magical for her also. :0)
Your turn!!
