While Sex and the City has been rocking the female world, there is now a movie to rock the guy's world-- Flex and the City .

While we love to have the most toys, the hottest cars, the hautest dresses, biggest bling and root for winners in all sectors (business, sports, war, games), it would seem that as a nation, the US seems to thrive in defining itself as "the biggest, baddest, best" . Is it surprizing that many of our heros are enhancing their performances and/or bodies with drugs?
Christopher Bell -before and after
The producers of Bowling For Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11 have released a film that provides a seriously deep exploration into the US "win-at-all-cost" ethos and culture via the tale of a personal journey. Blending comedy and pathos, BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER* marries pop culture, animated sequences and first-person narrative featuring an extremely diverse cast that includes US Congressmen, professional athletes, medical experts and everyday gym rats.

Big Will Harris and Christopher Bell
The heart of the story is really about director Christopher Bell and his two brothers, who grew up idolizing muscular giants like Hulk Hogan, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Idolizing and maybe obsessing about them so much that they became part of the steroid-subculture to achieve that American "dream" (query-- is that a dream or a nightmare?) What happens when you find that your heroes have all broken the rules: do you lose faith? Do you question the ethics? Do you follow the "right" path or do you follow your heroes-- whether they 'fess up or deny it till the end?
