On Being a Pisces
Flashing, glinting, thrashing,
beneath frothy cerulean blue --
two silvery fish draw and heave. . .Each dragging the other,
To opposing cardinal points. . .These two fish --
which are one in me --
submerged in my being. . .Churn in ghostly grey waves,
And pull my psyche in twain. . .Lashed together by their tails,
they drag and haul --
tearing my sympathies, my life,
asunder. . .Even as the net surrounds us,
we struggle to breathe
in the life-giving ocean. . .That nuturing sea,
which births us, preserves us,
also drowns us and kills us,In its very same water. . .

Thank you, Ashmin!
Scorpio, Sue... So unlike us Pisces... Where you have strength and purpose, we have sympathies that sway us to and fro...
Thanks so MUCH, Wendy!
You are a patient woman to "give it up to the cosmos", my dear friend, Alison... Blessings upon you!
NOTE: This posting somehow got "buried" and was inadvertently left off of my list of URLs of my work here on Gather... I appreciate all of your comments, though, and do apologize for not having found it earlier to thank you... jean
