My Rose Garden was Attacked by Trips

by little insects called "Trips."  I never heard of them but they are tiny white bugs that live inside the rose.  They suck the life from the plant.  I didn't know what had hit my roses, but the bushes were full of decaying blooms.  I went to the nursery and he told me about trips.  I have put insecticide on the plants and discarded the blooms.  Below is a link to an article about trips if you get or have these insects.  They don't show on the outside.  The only sign is rotting blooms.

hope you thing work an home reamedy I use is bannana peeling,, not one problem with any incents so far,,, I bury them twice in the winter, before hard snow, then once a month during the spring and summer,,,

Thanks, Carol. If the landscaping service this apartment building uses hadn't ripped out all my roses this spring I'd be looking for these bugs. Now, I can't. I refuse to replant if they're going to destroy them each spring. Hope your roses get well soon!

Don't have these but do have black spots on my rose leaves. I just treated them yesterday so will have to wait and see.

I never heard of them before, so here's hoping. I'm going to spray again in a couple of weeks to make sure I got them all.

Thanks for the info. But i can not raise roses. I plant a rose It grows about 8 inches out of the ground has one or two flowers and then the next year it is dead. Wild roses grow all over my yard. but not planted ones.
