From Planet Out News -
"The 52-member LGBT Equality Caucus, including two Republicans, is the first congressional caucus with the express purpose of advancing equal rights for LGBT people, repealing discriminatory laws and educating lawmakers on gay issues. "
For me, one of the most amazing things about this caucus is that so many members of Congress have stepped forward to proclaim their person hood and/or support of equal rights for every American.
Some politicians actually understand the concept that all men(and women) are created equal and deserving of the same rights.
Another step forward.
Edit to explain LGBT abbreviation thanks to suggestion by Nyoto -
LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender.

Congress would never stay the same.
Good article Sharon.
Do you think they're slow enough Nick?
Trick question - both. : )
Unfortunately this is going on at the same time Colorado is trying to strike down Roe v. Wade in their state.
One step forward, one step back and we wonder why we feel that we're not getting anywhere.
Katie and Juan - yes it is and long overdue.
Sharon, great article, and it pleases me anytime someone on the hill actually reads the constitution.........
Good idea Nyota - I'm so used to the acronym that I don't even think about explaining it.
Will edit right now.
A better day is dawning for the children coming up.
All I wanted was a better country for my kids, hopefully this is a good sign of things to come.
Isn't that just the scariest thing you've ever read? It haunts me still.
Thanks Kimberly.
