Bush Mulling Over a New Stimulus Package?

ANything that will help our country im all for. So hopefully they can figure something out that will help EVERYONE out there.

The chickens are coming home to roost on Bush's vaunted MBA degree and all the tinkering in the world won't change the fundamentals. The US is in for some hard times now.

I heard this a while ago believe it or not that woman I can not stand( Pelosi) wanted another one before the current checks even went out.

I think the tax cuts are a much better idea.

Pity the man that has to be in office after this guy and clean up his mess...

I don't know, really. I know the money would definitely help with the rising cost of EVERYTHING just in order to survive, but at the same time - I mean, the money is coming from us, right? And our country is already in debt . . .

Still, until the economy boosts back up I'm all for another stimulus check.

I'd prefer he worked with the oil companies and cutting their record high profits. ;)

What borrow more money? It is waste of time since it only makes the economy worse.

Anything that is going to help us. Too bad people are wasting their stimulus money though.

It does not do much. What he gives in one hand he takes away from state aide. This rolls down hill and your local and state taxes go up more than you get back. It is nice to get the lump money but you pay in the end.

I haven't seen a stimulous check yet but I'll probably be putting it toward some home repairs and save for next winter's heating bills. Sure, I'd like to buy a new computer monitor, a guitar or something just for fun, but I don't like to freeze, like last winter. (She says as it's 90 degrees outside and not much cooler in the house. LOL)

There was an email going around a few weeks back advising people to spend their checks on tattoos, alcohol, weed, and prostitutes because those are the only products still manufactured in the US. Hmmm...

I'm for anything that will help. I just hope whatever they do it comes quickly. You know, sometimes I'm a little thick. I just realized why Oklahoma is not suffering: We're oil country. Duh!

I don't know what to think any more. The politicians have screwed everything up so bad, it's hard to imagine it getting worse,

i'd like to get the first stimulus check

If I get another one, and it's 3 times as much as the first one, then that will be enough to cover what I paid in to the IRS this year. :o\
Forget abotu the rising cost of....EVERYTHING! I'll truly be happy to recoup my Federal Income Tax payment. :o\

I think they need to help raise our wages as well since so many things are going sky high!

We havent got the first check yet. The money would be nice.i don't think that is the answer.

I was REALLY bored ;)

Instead of giving us a quick fix stimulus (which, hey, if he is going to send one, I will happily collect), the president should be finding ways to ease the energy and fuel crisis. Do that, and the economy will have a chance to rebound.

We are already in a big hole because of the failed policies of this president over the last seven years. I do not see much hope in anything that he could do right now. Through most years of his presidency he gave out breaks left and right to the country's richest people and the richest corporations. He spent billions upon billions on a war that started over something that was at best not true and possibly even created by this president and his people to start that war. Over in that war he is still giving billions to one of the worlds richest companies by the name of Halliburton. A company that just happens to have many tie-ins business relationships with some of the highest ranking members of his administration. We are trillions of $ in debt again frome when we had a surplus 7 years ago. I think there is really a lot more going on here than just a $300 or $600 dollar check for some of us is going to fix.

Bob has got the right idea up above. The energy and fuel crisis is a great place to start, but it is just that, a start. We have a man who has been reckless with this country's well being for over seven years now and he now has only seven months left in office and no potential political gain at all by any actions he takes now. I am in great fear of exactly what he may be capable of. I just hope he keeps his finger off of that button that says WIPE OUT IRAN! If he hits that one he just may end up wiping us all out!!!
