My Iris Garden

A friend of ours gave us some iris plants a few years ago. Apparently hers had grown so much they were overtaking the garden. We planted our new plants in a corner of our back yard. They have been so beautiful and this year provided so many blooms that I cut off many stems and gave them to 3 of our neighbors and made a big bouquet for our house.

They are lovely. And get ready. After so many years you will need to thin them out, which if you want means you can give them to your neighbors for their own yards, or fill in another spot in your yard. They look very strong and healthy.

I love irises. They are such lovely flowers. We have many in our gardens. I would love to get more colors to add to ours. Purple is my favorite and we have an abundance of them.

Very lovely. I have yellow, ruby and violet iris, but violet are still my favorite!
