Marketing gurus have seen fit to replace many of our common household words with other, softer, more genteel terms, in an attempt, I suppose, to counter the rising tide of sex, violence, corruption and mayhem in the media. One such euphemism is the term bath tissue used in place of the more common toilet paper. Has anyone ever used tissue when taking a bath? I doubt it.
So, if we are to do away with toilet paper then why not replace the familiar toilet with something somewhat more euphonious or melodious, or ridiculous. Your task, dear Gatherers, if you choose to accept it, is to come up with alternatives to the crude and harsh toilet. To get us started I am placing a couple of suggestions before you for your consideration. They are:
1) Dust bowl and
2) Cosy corner.
Now it's your turn. Let's see what you can come up with. And please keep it clean.
