I am in such a mess right now. I need some changes on very little money....HELP !!
I haven't had my hair cut in over a year and it is almost to my waist, my bangs are down to my chin and the hair is always in my eyes.
I work with all men and I work in a warehouse but in the office section...I wear jeans and tennis shoes everyday and I rotate the same 7 shirts all of the time.
I really don't wear makeup because it has been so long that I forget really how to apply it properly. I don't know what kind of clothes to buy to make my size 20 body not look like the side of a house. I only have 2 pair of shoes.....gosh...I feel like a sloppy mess and don't really have much money. I have no clue what to do or where to start.
I was the team mom for my daughters softball team and we had our end of the season party last night. The girls and the moms gave me some MaryKay hand treatment stuff in a kit and told me that it was time for me to do something feminine for myself and that I was stuck in a rut.... These people actually told me in a round about way what I have been thinking for a while.
I am in the process of losing weight and have already dropped 2 sizes but the other stuff in my life sure is bad.
I have a loving husband and kids and stuff is good there....I do feel like a woman but not an attractive one at all. I HAVE COMPLETELY LET MYSELF GO AND WANT "ME" BACK.
Wow.....I really need to be on What Not to Wear to see Stacey and Clinton RIGHT NOW !!!!
Any cheap tips for me or some ideas....everything is welcome.

Hair is a good first step to feeling better about yourself.
some days they even offer special discounts, students , senoirs, etc
You can try places like WalMart, Target, Walgreeens for makeup and look in your local paper for coupons and or the store ads that might help save a little money.
Other than that, I'm not much help for you because I don't wear make-up and I don't exactly dress up. LOL
I agree with the beauty school suggestion. You may also want to check out the elf.com Web site. They have make-up kits that come with instructions. They're very affordable. Most things are only $1, but shipping is a $5 minimum.
As for clothes, I think comfort should still be the most important thing at work. If you're short on money, you might want to check yard sales and consignment stores. You'd be surprised what you can find. I often find clothes that still have the tags on them!
I also feel the need to throw in my grandmother's wisdom...pretty is is pretty does, meaning how you live your life is what makes you beautiful. I'd say you've got that part down!
You possibly want to get a hair cut or trim. If you want to keep it long. Or even try for a shorter cut and a wave to give a little style. I am sure if you ask there. They will give helpful suggestions.
As far as clothing just start with a few essentials that can be mixed and matched to make many different outfits (A nice pair of jeans that fit, one pair of shoes that can go with jeans or something dressier, sweaters or shirts in black and white etc..) This is how I get many outfits out of few clothes. Also a nice functional belt (you can find one at Walmart or Target) will help you get the most out of your clothes that are starting to get loose and help you look more pulled together.
With the hair cut, I tend to think the beauty schools are the way to go. When I've gone to places like supercuts they've screwed my hair up massively. I know not all places like that do but I wouldn't go unless you know someone else who goes there and is pleased with their results.
Great job on the weight loss! Hang in there!
