Besides "Brotherly Love" (as in The City of...), The Spirit of Philadelphia is a ship sails with lunch, dinner and late night cruises, complete with onboard entertainment. A bit pricey, but great for special occasions.

On May 17 we celebrated milestone birthdays for my father and my sister. The weather was perfect; breezy but not cold. It didn't start raining until we were driving home.

The company was great; my family, my sister's family and our parents and grandmother.

The food was perfect; I'm a sucker for hand-carved roast beef. The bar was perfect; Dad picked up the tab. Can't beat that! And the dancing was perfect; even the kids were out there dancing with their grandparents and parents. Teens - who would have believed that?

And the river was beautiful with the cities of Philadelphia and Camden lit up with lights.

There are more photos on the right.

I'll be on that bleeding river in November, I'm gonna die- freeze to death. Your timing seems so much more civilized.
Hamburger, hamburger, hamburger. Cheeseburger. (SNL humor, just in case)
Seriously, looks like everyone had fun.
Judi, do you live in the city or a suburb or a suburb of a suburb? I've never been to Philly but a former student is at Univ. of the Arts. I might need to pay her a visit. What should I see in town on a short visit?
