Yesterdays Errand Run

Chris and I went running around yesterday to a few places and had the very best customer experiences we have ever had while shopping together. Our final stop was to a local farm for some more plants for the garden. I asked the lady if they had pumpkin plants. Last year my son Jonathan had so much fun caring for and growing the pumpkins and was so thrilled with the final results...our very own home grown pumpkins for Halloween.

She said that she didn't sell any but had her own private stock that are very very young plants and she sold them to me for Jon. How awesome was that. I came home and Jon was so appreciative. I think I will send her a picture of Jon with the grown pumpkins at the end of the season and a thank you note. That made Jon's day and my day. What awesome people live in my area!!!

I'd say you were on my strip, but we don't have a garden store here. Evertone is so friendly and helpful here...the people who work in the stores and eateries and the tons of customers who swamp out street. It's most excellent living here.

I grew up in the country and watching the stuff grow out in the garden helped shape me into the person I am today. Oh, wait a minute. You want your son to come out to be a fine outstanding person. Maybe you should get rid of the plants. LOL

Oh I am glad she sold your son the plants. Sounds like she wantsd to encourage him growing a garden. Even if it is just pumpkins. I always encourage my children the same way when they were littler. Right now we are growing hanging strawberries and just planted some cherry seeds. Not sure if that will take or not. But we will see.
