Unusual Pet Foods...

Does your pet have any unusual foods it eats? For example, our dog Smoke seems to enjoy Watermelon which not all dogs will eat. I think she likes grapes as well but haven't tried to feed her any lately..

Well its not exactly unusual food but our dog will not eat canned Alpo dog food, she however WILL eat those tiny cans or pouches of the really expensive dog food. Needless to say, she doesn't get it unless we have a free coupon!

We used to have a cat who would eat almost anything that wouldn't eat him. He loved pepperoni pizza with onions and mushrooms. He did not like peas, however. I gave him some tuna casserole once and he ate all but the peas! His weird tastes didn't hurt his health. He lived for 18 years.

My dog will eat anything except lettuce...oh wait if there is good dressing on it then she will eat it. Funny that you brought this up. I never knew untill like 6 months ago that grapes and raisins are bad for the dog. I knew about the chocolate though. I don't think that many people know about the grapes and or raisins.

My dog gets jealous of our bunny, he will eat her dried corn,alfala,timmathy hay and such.He can't understand I put it in her bowl and not his...

My dog cannot have dog cushions/beds of any kind we will tear them apart and make a mess and yes try to eat them..Don't know why..."But a blanket is just fine" I know that don't fall into the food pile but he thinks it's food...

My dog likes apples, carrots too, another treat we give to our bunny..

Cindy is picky, picky, picky. My fault, tho. I've had her nearly 13 years and I've cooked for her every day. I make my own doggie food. Chicken breast or chicken liver, rice, toss in some peas, carrots (frozen medley is great for this) and she's happy as a clam. She loves salmon, tuna, and pizza crust. Popcorn is a rare treat (gives her gas) and if there's a potato chip in the house, she'll sniff it out.

My dogs never get commercial food, pork products of any kind. They enjoy tomatos and green beans with their meals. I wrote a book which is available at this link:

Be careful letting your dog eat grapes. They can be toxic to some dogs.

My Basset Hound like green plums. They are really sour. She'll bite...make funny faces, rub her face on the ground....bite, bite, bite.....rub, wince and finally finish it off.
She also likes popcorn sprinkled with unsweetened lemon juice.

Maggie likes anything and everything. She's a real foodie.

One of our former cats LOVED my mother's spaghetti sauce. When she started the crock pot in the morning, our rough and tough tom cat would decide to stay in for the day. He would hang around all day until supper time when he would beg for a plate of spaghetti with sauce and Parmasean cheese.

I once had a dog that liked grapes and broccoli.

So far, our cats only seem to eat normal food, but they do seem to like eating ribbon.

Do NOTfeed your dog grapes or raisins. They have something in them that can poisin your best friend and by the time you realize there's something wrong and get him to the vet, it's too late. I don't remember where I read it, on which web site, but I'm sure it's not a good idea.

My dog will eat about any think I eat, even pieces of orange. But the dog who lives across the hall is really weird. She won't eat dog food or meat, only carrots, tomatoes, and lettuce. She loves veggies.

My current cats eat the normal stuff. My 2 cats that passed away loved to eat pumpkin. If I carved a pumpkin they would be right there to eat the pulp!

I have a cat that loves noodles of any kind but her favorite is spaghetti and mac and cheese. My dog will eat anything, but the most unusual is his sweet tooth. He loves suckers (yes, we hold them for him so he does not get the stick), and will come in the evening to lay his head in my lap for a piece of butterscotch hard candy.

Our dog, Bingo, never met a "people food" he didn't like except lettuce. He wouldn't eat it plan, but put some ranch dressing on it - He'd go for it!

I think Billy would eat anything that wouldn't eat him. (Sh!!! Don't say it out loud, but Billy is the dog - he doesn't believe he is a dog - he believe he is a people). He is a rott/chow mix - huge and black. Weighs well over a hundred pounds, but has little short legs. The only thing I have found he doesn't care for is green beans. When I make a stew or something with them in it - he will lick them clean as a whistle and then lay them side by side by his dish! He also gets upset if you call that big bag in the corner 'dog' food.

Our puppy will eat anything. The only thing she won't eat right now is the pet treats puppercorn. She loved them a couple of weeks ago, but she won't eat them now, while her teeth are hurting.
