1. Robin(Batman &Robin)-Batman's classic cliched sidekick. The first real sidekick to just follow in the hero's wake. The standard that all sidekicks were based on.
2. Short Round(Indiana Jones)-Determined, Loyal, and Opinionated. Also helped out in key points and tookp up for Indy at any given chance.
3. Kato- Bruce Lee. Enough said.
4. Silent Bob(Kevin Smith Series)-The voice of conscience and reason where there would be none otherwise. Great at face expressions at essential parts in the movie to express disdain for what is ineviteably going to happen.
5. Dionne(Clueless)-The classic girly girl. Not many people can put up with her Cher and her boy antics. Dionne has her own life going on and could really care less.
6. Pumba(Lion King)-Well first of all, its Timon and Pumba and not the other way around. Pumba has his own song "When I was a young Warthog" that rings true, but in the end, Timon is the leader of the pack.
7. Sir Dittimus(Labrynth)-Never backed down from a fight and always looking for one. Way to back up David Bowie!
8. Garth(Wayne's World)-other than the 9,000 obvious sidekick traits, he's always there, always caring, but will tell you when you are making a mistake.
9. R2-D2(Star Wars)-The "hero of 1,000 devices" who has saved the lead characters more than anyone in the series.
10. Subati(Conan the Barbarian)- Always around to lend a hand when Conan needed it(ie saved his life, both physically and mentally), but had his own life to live as well.
11. Slimer(Ghostbusters the cartoon)-It is irony alone that a ghost sided with the ghostbusters and helped them.
12. Jimmy Olson(Superman)- He has an over-eager, happy to be there attitude, as well as being overly obsessed with Superman, but in his own way he does his part, then relishes it forever.
13. Mr. Miagi(Karate Kid)-While he is technically the karate kid's teacher in the first one, he stands by and lets the kid shine, plus who went into karate starting in 1985 thinking that their teacher was going to be Mr. Miagi and it turned out to be John Kreese.
14. Sallah(Indiana Jones)-First of all there's the saving Indy from the dates and the asps. Second, he's always there when something is about to go down and someone Idny comes out on top.
15. Peanut(Harvey Birdman)- Wants to be Harvey Birdman more than he can possibly imagine and has no idea how easy it is to scream "Harvery Birdman, Attorney at Law" and then do literally nothing ot qualm the situation.
16. Meatwad/Master Shake(Aqua Teen Hunger Force)-This one is debatable as they all do pretty stupid stuff on a regular basis, however these two seem to take the backseat on most things, just kind of going along with Frylock's master plan.
17. Ron Weasley(Harry Potter)-I don't really know how you can be more of a sidekick. He's there in every scene in the movies, always helping Harry out and coming up with the right answer and never the right credit.
18. Sid the Sloth(Ice Age)-Sid follows Manny the mammoth around like a child, but slowly comes into his own as the movie progresses.
19. Mad Martigan(Willow)- The sidekick who basically took over the whole show and saved the day(by the way, I'd like to add this is my boyfriend's addition, this movie is atrocious)
20. Snowman(Smokey and the Bandit)- "It's me they're after, they don't even know Cletus Snow exists" Oh, they don't?"
"Well, I tell you what we're gonna do, we just gonna introduce him to the boy, so move over good buddy because the snow man is coming through"
21. Cameron(Ferris Beuller's Day Off)-Cameron is the quintessential sidekick, he provides the motive(the expensive car), and the nagging thereafter about ruining the car. Love this movie!
