Well this is exciting for me anyway. This year will be a year of changes especially when we return to school in the fall. Our principal who I adore will be retired and one of our Vice Principals has been named Principal. That of course leaves a minimum of one opening in our administrative team.
So, out of nowhere today, I get a call asking if I would be willing to sit with a few other teachers and some administrative staff on the interview team for our new Assistant Principal. This may not seem like a big deal, but for me it is because it means my opinion is respected and being asked for in a very important decision.
It will be a hectic time, but I am looking forward to it. After all, this person could be my boss for many years to come. So, how was your day ??
