An Amazing Feeling

As I sat today watching my student prepare for a test that will probably be way to hard for them, a feeling of pride swelled in me. They were underlining and organizing and doing all those things I have harped on them about all year. They know that this test is going to be tough and they know that many of them despite their very best effort may not "pass" the test.

Do you know what? That is fine by me because what is not able to be seen in those test scores is the progress and the effort that these kids will put into it. I know, I am suppose to feel proud, but this group just amazed me. It all came together this spring. I couldn't be more pleased.

It is always nice knowing that they are giving it their all and having someone who truly cares about the child and just not about the test scores.
