Daily Whine & Shine - June 4, 2008

This is the place to rant, vent, stomp your feet, throw a tantrum or shout, 'Oh shuckie darn!"

 

It's also the place to dance, sing, and yell "Yippee skippy!" when the good times roll.

 

Sorry this is short this morning.  We're having thunder storms again, and I'm shutting down my computer.  I have to go hold our one doggie who pants and drools every time there's a storm.  (Actually he usually starts before the storms hit, so he's a great weather gauge.)  He was freaking out so much this morning that I considered calling the vet about getting something to relax him.  He's calmed a bit, but only if I hold him.  He was like this all day yesterday and wouldn't eat anything.  He needs to eat.

I'm sick of the fricken' glitches on Gather! %#&@!! They've been going on for over two weeks now with publishing articles and replying to Gather E-mails. This morning, I started writing an article at 5:30...and never got it published until almost 10:00. I've got better things to do with my time than spend it all on Gather. They obviously don't give a crap about since I've reported these glitches several times and nothing has been done about them. I'm very ticked off about this today and if they keep up; I'm simply saying the hell with Gather altogether and just won't bother coming here anymore. Idiots!

well in the Whine colum I AM STILL WAITING for my truck in the SHINE colum my finally found my lisence it had fallen between the trucks front seat and the center cup holder/glove box thyp thing (sorry drew a total blank on what its called)

My whine is the weather again. More rain. I guess on the other hand it gives me time to Gather ; )

The pain level I thought was back with a vengence in my side i found out the longger I stayed up yesterday and moved around it worked out my pain and thev few meds I take now seem to be helping. I think yesterdays scare for me was just a minds wakeup call to be more vegalent on how i am feeling from day to day till I go back to my doctors. But thank the lord that is a few weeks away.

After the storms stopped here - around 1 pm - I was sooooooooooo tired. For some reason, my chronic fatigue hit hard. I had about 10 minutes to get to bed (before I would fall asleep where I was sitting). Doggie Jake was still upset from the storms, so he panted and drooled beside me.while I tried to sleep. Finally, all the animals in the house fell asleep, so I could too. :-) We all just got up a few minutes ago.

Marilyn...we had a wonderful dog who was absolutely terrified of thunderstorms to the point she would hurt herself. What we did instead of giving her tranquillizers because of her many allergies to medications was give her (2) Benadryl, she was a BIG dog. We put blankets and pillows in the bath tub because that's where she felt the safest during storms. The Benadryl would make her sleep through the storms. The Vet recommended it and the dose was given by her weight. You might want to ask the Vet if this could help your dog too and Benadryl is cheaper than expensive tranquillizers.

Hi Marilyn M. I am not really ranting but I got hurt at work today.
I work in a hard labour job and one of my coworkers droped a projector screen on my back.
I finished work and am now at home sitting at the computer taking 'fun' pills to sleep tonight.

Thanks, Vana. I'll ask the vet. I'll be taking Jake to see the doc Thur. afternoon so they can check his heart and make sure he's able to take something to calm him.
