The Good Samaritan (picture essay)

A turtle was sitting on the road...a very big turtle!

I stopped and wanted to get a photo as it moved off the road...but it would Not budge..It just sat there.....

I hunkered down in the shade and said "I'll Wait..You will eventually move!"

A car passed..Whoa Mr. Turtle..way to close...Hurry and move......

Then Out of nowhere..the good Samaritan appeared...She never even noticed Me!

so funny...i would do the same thing...i used to live out in the country and i passed a pond on the way home...so i would stop to pick up turtles put them in a box in the back and drop them off safely at the pond...but my friends always laughed at me because i always had a turtle or two along for the ride...lol

That's certainly quite the turtle.
I've heard that turtles and tortoises move slowly but that's rediculous! Tee hee.

Thank-you all, I am having a problem getting my photos(which is why I'm here ) to come out on the articles....I've deleted more articles than I've posted.
With this...I was so stunned to have a woman suddenly appear in my lens and move that big turtle... I had to go ahead and post....just to put out there that people are kind....

very well documented...nice to read and view uplifting content....thanks for stopping by my article about the preventable troop deaths....an insightful PING exchange with a former employee of contractor KBR was an interesting result of my posting...

for what it is worth, we all earn triple pts. beginning June 6-12....viewing and having others view your content nets the most pts. based on past info from staff....i will post new content Fri. My daughter always stops for turtles and now I'm doing it too - especially in low traffic areas.

You know, Jennifer, according to the Bible story, you'd not be the one going to heaven.

If you have a place you can post pictures to, Jennifer, on the Internet, you can place the image in your article using HTML (the image command). Even from your Gather library.

I did this in my article: Art History. If you can't open Art History, it's because you have your Guarded Viewing on. I have a tittie picture in the article.

I love seeing people save turles and other critters on the street, but that's funny that she didn't even notice you. I can see what you mean about the picture with half a person... It's so frustrating trying to get the pictures and words to line up!

Nice to see other people have problems with turtles in the road too. These turtles are everywhere. Side streets, school bus stops and in handicapped parking zones. Something must be done, so I forwarded your name to the turtle abatement program. I'm sure the first question you will be asked is whether or not turtle soup should replace clam chowder in school lunches.

I'm so glad someone stopped to help the poor thing. I'm a turtle saver. I have a funny story about my daughter and me and a big snapper in the middle of the road.
