Purple sky(in my head)
Purple sky. Leaves have just turned dark
From the golden. Eyes never tire.
This time they come for medicines,
Close the windows of the gray asylum.
Strange shadows playfully pursue
Each other. Why are all the pills
Taste alike and bitter. Papers
Too, bear a taste akin to those pills.
Though, they are not necessary.
Eyes shadow the flying pages
Of a newspaper form a date
Utterly meaningless. White dressed nurses
Draw curtains, switch off lights, and tell
To go to sleep. Ha, ha! Sleep! Sleep?
Eyes wonder amid lids and burn.
Like a flickering candle old faces
From life left on another turn
Loom over sleep and voids in head.
A haze and a permanent sky
Forever purple swirling in my head.
