Remember my rant about how the Bible is misinterpreted when it comes to same se? Well, as you know the State has decided to start performing gay marriages on the 17th. I will be deputized as a Deputy Commissioner of Civil Marriages on the 10th of June in order to help with the throng of married wannabees on the 17th.
The only downside is that I know my Church is against this, but it is an area where we will have to respectfully disagree.
In short, I have chosen to stand up for a group of people that don't want anything but what the rest of do, do to be loved.
I should say, I am not gay, but I respect them for fighting for their rights.
What do you think of my decision?

It's a legal union and there's no question that it's the right thing to do. :)

Churches, and religious persons who may otherwise perform marriage ceremonies have the right to decline to do these for same sex couples. They should, however, respect that you are doing your job. I hope they will.
