I guess it is time to update you on the baby birds. For those of you that did not read my previous article, my bff was hand feeding wild birds. Her cat ate the momma bird, and she hand fed them every twen
ty minutes.
Here they are at just a few days old. It is hard to see them, but they did not have any feathers. They were really noisy, when it was time to eat.

Here they are at a week old. They had begun to grow some feathers. It looks like he has a mowhawk.

I missed one week, but here is one at three weeks old. They were being fed every few hour. They flew all over the room, when she fed them. They were in a cage most of the time. One liked to perch on her head.

One had died the day before. She was not sure what happened, but three were still living.

This weekend she let them go. She kept the cage open near home, and they flew away. One stayed around close to home, and came back to feed. The others had learned to eat on their own.
It was a really neat experience to witness.
