Appleton Lion Statues

Last fall we went on a tip to Appleton to attend a wedding. While there we did some sight seeing. We noticed these neat lion statues around the city while there.

This lion was actually in front of the hotel we stayed at.

He even had a nice steak in the event that he was hungry, lol.

This lion was the neat one. It was in front of the castle historical museum. He's painted with images of Harry Houdini since that was the big display at the museum at the time.

I'm rather saddened that we didn't find more of these guys. They are so neat.

Neat Cassandra. I bet the cars are really cool. I'd love to see photos of some of them!

In Madison they have cows. Maybe sometime I'll take photos of them. They seem to be out there in the summer months.

Nice lions. the sad thing is that I go to Appleton nearly every Saturday and never ventured into downtown or even knew those lions were there. Green Bay has butterflies and bugs, Went to see all of those as there are maps to the locations available.

Those are very cool lion statues. They remind me of those horse statues that they do with different themed things painted on them.

Everyone is talking about what they have around their town. Well . . .

We have lizards here. Real ones ~ all over the place ~ {ROFL} Oh ~ and there's a lot of Manatees close by!

A lot of places seem to be doing similar things. I know that Helena Montana had bulldogs. Around here the big thing is gigantic chairs. They're actually really cool and we got one at work for Santa Cow to sit on. Even his legs dangled above the floor.
