It is another Spring and time to till the soil, plant the seeds and tend to the garden.
It is a both a battle and a joy. So many pests trying to invade, weather trying to fight us off, and wild things trying to eat our guarded treats.
We hope for rain, we fear for frost, we hope the weeds will just get lost.
When it is all done and we replace what's lost, we fight off the pests and we sit back and watch it grow.
Then comes the hopes of harvest so full.
We freeze, we can it, and just start to eat knowing that we grew all those great treats.
Then all too soon winter breaks it all up and the outside life is way too rough.
We long and we wait for Springtime again and it starts over and we begin again.
How is your garden growing?

Our garden is doing okay. We only have tomatos, peppers and cucumbers at the moment. We did start some aspargus plants/crowns. Which are 2 years old. My husband always finds it wild along the road. I told him it was about time to plant his own lil patch..
I do not mind all of this rain, it means I don't have to water.
My garden is looking good, and soon I will be eating green beans!
Actually, the rabbits are enjoying my garden very much.
Unfortunatly I didn't plant a garden this year, but I have taken good care of our apple tree and plum tree of which produced an anormous amount of fruit. We had so many plums that when we went camping I bagged up a bunch to feed to the deer. They LOVED them.
As for our apples, we take them to the horse pasture and give to the horses.
I had a tiny garden this summer. It was our first. We had tons of summer squash. Hubby groans if he hears that word now.
