May was a whirlwind of work, visitors, and family...I don't even remember turning on the radio except to listen at work. The Memorial weekend, a few drives, and having the speakers ringing while doing some work around the house changed all that. I've been listening:

Bury the Hatchet The Cranberries
A bit more accessible than No Need to Argue but less welded to memories than Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? I actually enjoy this album, and I can't put my finger on exactly why. It rotates into play about once a year.

The Best of the Doors The Doors
Hello. I love your music. And I especially love to listen to your music in summer. Really. Depending on who you talk to they're either totally overrated or utterly underrated. If you can, set your feelings about Jim aside and just listen to the music. They're really tight.

A mess of R.E.M.
Oh, you pick the album. They're coming in concert, and even though we're not going I've arranged a little run for myself. While on the bus I set the mp3 player to the artist section and just let it shuffle up the years. Don't we have a "favorite R.E.M." discussion around here somewhere? Kick it off (pg please) and I'll feature it.
So. What are you listening to? Include a link or two and I'll try a listen.

Old 97's - Blame it on Gravity
Old Crow Medicine Show - O.C.M.S.
My band is learning a few of their songs to do. His latest "Heartbreakers" CD ain't too bad either if you like Tom Petty ;-)
I mostly never (is that possible?) listen to music while I work, it messes with my thoughts. But when I'm driving, I've been rocking out to Rammstein, a hard, hard rocking German band that no one in my family likes but my 15 year old and me. I bought the CD over in Frankfurt with the advice of my friend's teenaged children.
Did I already post somewhere on Gather about Michael Doucet's latest album? If you go to the link I just provided, you can read my review of it. ;-)
