Today, my husband and I were traveling down a road we have traveled many times. It is a country road and we always enjoy seeing the horses, etc...that people are raising. As we rounded a corner on this road like we have many times before, both of us noticed something coming toward us in the road. Almost at the same time, we identified this as a cow and slowed down to take a look.
Much to our surprise, and I kid you not....this animal that we had mistaken for a cow was the largest pig I had ever in my life seen. The snout was as big around as a large coffee can and it stood as high as a cow. It was black and white and wandering around the middle of the road without a care in the world.
We being the country folk we are, began knocking on doors to let someone know that their very large pig had escaped and was in the road. Want to hear the topper to the story? When we finally found the owners of this animal, they were angry with us for INTERFERING.....Now, that is a bunch of HOGWASH !!

Wow, I guess so! Who is going to try to stop it?! lol
That's a funny story!
I like pigs but not when they get that big.
I can't believe the owners were pissed. When I lived in a rural area, we all helped each other out when something like that happens. Man!
Those people should have been glad you let them know where he was - if someone hit him THEY could sue for damage to their vehicle! Farmers have to keep the animals fenced securely in Indiana!
The hardest animal to control is a Female Cow when she is "bulling" She will walk for miles to find a bull. I dont mean 5 or 6 miles. We have had them go 20 or so miles. They were often very difficult to find. By the time we found them, their milk was so full it was leaking out.
Home, home on the range,
where the deer and the piglets are strange,
Where fat pigs run free,
you can stop and go pee,
and the owners are not happy all day.
