I think the Universe is trying to give me everything I ask for except money. And I am very grateful, although being able to pay all the bills would be nice.
Still, it's really funny the way things are happening. I love books, and lately I've been getting free books to review, finding books I want for 10 and 25 cents when I wasn't looking for books at all, and having people just give me books for no reason.
I really needed clothes because I've lost weight and last year's clothes really don't fit. Yesterday, we went to our favorite thrift store and it's moving, so they had everything in the entire store on sale for 10c an item. My husband and I got three bags of clothes, only gently worn. I got pants, skirts, shirts, shorts, and dresses, plus 4 books and some knick knacks, and my husband got computer games, pants, and jackets, and for all three huge trash bag sized bags full of clothes and other things we spent $7.34. And they were giving away hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks for customer appreciation, so we got to eat free, too.
I love movies, and we went to the discount theatre and saw "21," which was pretty good, for $1.25 each. With a large drink to split, it cost us $6.
So, I had fun, ate, got a bunch of clothes and saw a movie with my hubby for less than $20, and I have become convinced that money is not necessary in order to own books and not just get them out of the library.
In addition, I've always wanted to be an editor, and I'm doing that, although I'm not getting paid in money, but I wanted to take a paranormal investigation course, and I'm getting to take the great one ParaNexus offers for free in return for editing the journal.
So if I can just figure out a way to handle rent, utilities, food, car payments, etc., with little or no money, I think I've got this all figured out!
