In my recent Kroger ad (expired today-5/31/08) I noticed that 12-16 items were advertised as either B1G1 or a number of cents off by downloading the electronic coupon to your Kroger card. The coupons are in effect from May 14 through June 30. The really cool thing is that you don't have to use them all at one time. In other words, I selected 5 items but only needed 2, so I can purchase the other items later.
All you need to do is log on to Kroger.com and click on the P&G eSaver link. All the sale items are listed and you click on the applicable items (that you want to use the coupons for). When you get to the store, the coupons will be applied when your card is scanned at checkout. (The site indicates you need to allow 1 hour for the coupons to be credited to your account.)
I headed off to Kroger as my son, who has been away for 2 weeks is home and I needed to buy groceries:-). I also had quite a few coupons that expired today and I wanted to use them in conjunction with Kroger sale items. I had total savings of $38.39 or 37% of my total purchase price.
In addition to particular item coupons, I had a $1.50 off $7 dairy purchase (excludes cheese and milk) and a $7 off $70 total purchase. Last time I was at Kroger I picked up a booklet with tons of coupons for items in their organic food section and I also receive 2 coupon mailers a month now - one for predominantly organic fruits, vegetables, etc. and also a mailer for "regular" items.
Today's purchase also put me a at $139 for the month, so I saved 10 cents per gallon on about 2/3 a tank of gas - $3.79 a gallon:-)
Items for our Evacuation Kit:
2 cans Hormel Turkey Chili (used a coupon)
1 pack S&K tuna in Water (used a coupon)

I also need to start stocking up again. I recently moved and decided that was a good time to go through and use/replace the emergency stock, so I have to go tomorrow and get new stuff. :)
Do you ever use Kroger brands. I actually like them as well if not better than some national brands. If you try it and don't like it, take it back for the national brand no issues.
I need to get organized though.
Thanks for the nice comments on my photos
