First off, welcome to Play-Doh Playland! I hope you are all set for a lot of Play-Doh fueled fun!
A New Group Is Born
I started this group shortly after Gideon's last Play-Doh set: The Meal Makin' Kitchen. He saw it while in NY and just begged for it. It would up being so much fun for us all that we cooked up a ton of fun. I photographed everything with the intent to publish as an essay... but then I thought why not make a group where we all could share our creations and learn from one another. Thus Play-Doh Playland was born.
Why Play-Doh?
Play-Doh has always been big in our home, and Gideon has several playsets. He's always asking for more, too. In fact his latest request has been this playset. I love how it's portable and a storage bin! As soon as I get my survey playment we'll be placing an order for it.
We feel Play-Doh is great for imaginative play and it's a timeless toy. Kids and adults can sit and enjoy quality time together having fun around the Play-Doh sets. There's no limit to the creativity and fun. I hope that you all will sit with your kids (or even do something by yourself) and create something to share with us all.
What I'd Like To See At The Group
First and foremost, this is a Play-Doh only group. If you have clay or other medium created sculptures those are very welcomed at Kreative Kids. We will only accept things created with Play-Doh or reviews on Play-Doh playsets. There will be no exceptions made. Unfortunately I've found that to keep this on topic I have to moderate all posts. so long as your content is Play-Doh related it will be accepted.
Secondly, I'd love to see tutorials for projects you or your kids make. If you needed a specific playset to make this project, please list the name of it for us (Photos of the playset are nice but not required) so that we might try to make it ourselves or with our children.
Play-Doh playset reviews are most welcome. This might help us choose which set would be a good purchase for the child on our gift list. There's so many wonderful sets out there that it's often hard to choose which one to get!
Features
Often I'll feature articles at my groups of content that I particularly enjoyed. I wish there was a way to feature photos. I'm considering adopting the process that Rene uses to feature content via an article. Would anyone be interested in this? This would allow me to feature images and videos that cannot currently be featured within the group's homepage.
Any Questions or Suggestions?
Feel free to message me with any questions or suggestions that you might have. Or, you can post below and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Okay, enough of the formalities. Let's HAVE FUN!
