Pregnancy Update...

....no baby yet. I thought for sure we'd have him before the end of May, since Josh and Miri came early. This little boy just wants to grow bigger! But it's for the best, as we were all sick for the past week and a half. I'd hate to imagine what trying to give birth while having big coughing fits would have been like!

Quick question for all you fellow moms: did you have a natural birth - without drugs or an epidural? I can't have an epidural, and I wanted to go without any drugs this time. But I'm getting nervous because at this point, he's bigger than what my other two were (they were 6 lbs 9 oz and 7 lbs 6 oz.) If he stays until his due date, he'll probably be close to 10 pounds! Any advice or suggestions?

My baby was nearly ten pounds; I had a C-section because his heartbeat was irregular and the doc wanted him out! I think that a lot of women have success with natural childbirth. Good luck to you no matter which path you choose! This is an exciting time for you :)

Both my kids were large, Jessica at 8 lbs/5 oz. and Nick at 9 1/2lbs. and I had no drugs at all. I think they just literally fell out because they were so big! And they were both 10 month pregnancies! I chose no drugs so that my babies wouldn't absorb any. Good luck with your delivery!

My son was 5 weeks early and I had the epidural (I had back labor). He was 5lb 15oz and had undeveloped lungs. But other than that it was good.

my son was 9'2" and i had an epidural and wish i hadn't because i couldn't feel to push i strained too hard.. eventually they had to use forceps but it was hard recovery for both

My daughter was 9 pounds 14 ounces, and my son was 9 pounds. So I was ABSOLUTELY having a epideral and anything else legal that would take away the pain. They ended up having to do emergency C-sections on both of them. It was horrible after you have been in labor all night pushing.

But they are beautiful healthy kids. The hardest part for me was recovering from the c-section surgeries!!

I had a c-section. My daughter was 9 lbs 13 oz when she was born (they predicted her at 10 lbs 11 oz) so the doctors and I decided that a section was best. But, some of my friends have done it without meds and they said it wasn't bad at all. But I have no experience.

I had my first emergancy c-section and my second one I was planning on going without anything, but before I knew it I was yelling for something and I got a epideral. It was useless, because I was moving along to fast and it didnt kick in before he was ready to come. Plus he had cranio. and his head was all one piece and didnt give like a normal baby.

I had an epidural with my first, natural with my second, and although I tried to go natural with the third I ended up getting the epidural at the very end.
