Coupons and savings from Maufacturers

I'm interested in seeing the responses on this. I did this a couple of times and one company sent me a free product coupon for Mission Tortillas while I never heard back from the other company. When I emailed that company, I asked if they had coupons they could send out. I didn't know they'd send me a coupon to get it for free so that was pretty cool.

When there's a product I want a coupon for, I'll go to the website and lots of times there's a coupon somewhere on the site. Or, try googling "printable coupon" or "X coupon" (x being the name of the product you want a coupon for).

My wife got coupons from the Florida's Natural OJ people.

I haven't tried it but I've heard good stuff from people who have done it. Maybe I should. (Perhaps a nice letter to the US Mint, telling them how much I love their product - money - and request a sample. lol)

I've gone to manufacturer's websites and sent emails about what I think about their products. I don't actually ask for coupons, but they've always sent me coupons to thank me for writing.

I have found that whenever I contact the company (usually a phone # on the package) I either receive a coupon for cents off or a Freebie coupon. It never hurts to try.

i have received coupons for coffeemate coffee creamer. i just emailed them and told then i was interested in their product, and would like coupons. they are happy to send em, since it will get you to buy their product

The few times I've done it, I will email the company and tell them i'm Interested in their product, but it's a bit pricier than similar products I usually buy, and hate to try a product I'm not sure I'll like, with it being more expensive. Many times they'll send me a coupon just so I can try it, and I usually end up getting hooked on it.

I have written a lot of companies I usually just comment on their products, whether they are good or bad. sometimes I get coupons and sometimes I don't, it varies. There have been a few times though that I will ask for coupond directly and soemtimes they will send them. I hope you have luck getting some good coupons.

Mypoints.com has a new program where you print your coupon.. and once you use it you get points too..

also do a yahoo search for yahoo groups in your area that do trading of coupons.

I too go to the individual sites and get coupons.

Walmart has a section for freebies, samples etc too!

They have 800 numbers on their products. Call them and tell them you'd like to try a variety of their products and would they please send you some coupons. You'd be surprised at the positive response you'll get.

Each time I call a manufact. about their product, they send me some more coupons.

I have never done this myself, but I have seen a website about this. Some guy did an experiment. He snail-mailed like 200 some manufacturers and asked for free samples etc. I think he got at least half if not 2/3 or more that replied, and gave him a lot of goodies.

I don't remember the website though.

Oh and sometimes if I bought something and there was a problem, I'd call or write to complain. Sometimes they give me a refund PLUS some additional coupons. But I have only done that when there were issues. I have never just writing or calling for the sole purpose of getting goodies.

I do this several ways and all have been successful.

Check the package for a phone number avoid calling on Monday or Friday. I usually have a great response calling in the morning.

Another way is going to the web site and tell them what you think of their products and request coupons.

If your stores accept internet printed, then many sites have coupons to print. My closest store to my house only accepts internet printed from their site.

This is what I do, seriously I do this all the time. I try to set a goal of emailing/calling 5 - 10 companies each week. I always ask for coupons, but most often I don't even get to ask, as they offer coupons to me first. If I have a complaint about a product I always contact a company, and I have gotten lots of free replacement coupons/products this way.
(Just yesterday I was able to get our Internet bill in half just by asking (a polite request and lots of patience).

If I have a question I start out asking the question, and before I hang up I ask for coupons or to get on a mailing list.

If you have a product you really like, call the company and tell them. Not only will they appreciate your feedback, but most often they will send you coupons as well. (even without you asking for them).

When I send an email, I usually start out with telling them why I like the product, and then I ask if it is possible to request coupons or get on their mailing list. (make sure to leave your address).

Seriously, I get so many great coupons this way. Right now I have free coupons for a colgate toothbrush and for a V8 product, and fruit of the loom are sending me two boxer shorts for my oldest son...plus I have lots of coupons coming.

What I suggest is that you go through all the products you are using and just call their 1 800 number.
