Today I met with Mother Nature
to discuss upcomming affairs
her office was perfumed
with the dew drenched aroma of mint and blossoming wild flowers
I brought along my possibilities
seeds and gardening tools
cup of joe and dog at my side
I slipped in the camera and began my walk about.

The bright green bull frog
who spent the night bellowing blustery amoreous arias
guarding the moat with the golden fishies
leaped from his hidden bed of herbs
deep into the water
only to surface and eye me with indignation
and a bit of amusement at my start!
Mother and I parused everything
not far from a bugs eye view
counting beans and blossoms
pondering what will do...

" So you made Jam?"

indeed I did
and honey bread
and tea
"And just how is it?"
See for yourself!
How did I do?
"Exellent, I am pleased!"
Tomorrow, I will be taking my fares to work for a pot luck contest. I hope that this will shed some light on those who roll their eyes at me when I start to talk of gardening, and delight those who know what it means to me....

Life is good when you linger in the garden!

The cans are for water or fertilizer?
Isn't this you rHeritage days weekend where you are?
Oh, and something jumped 24 inches of chicken wire and DUG up my 4 thriving, and one limping 'mater plants. I was devestated. Later this year, you'll have to come up and see the tomb wall I put up to hold the babes safe--all to no avail.
I'm buying Thies Farm plants to put in their places. AND I"M putting chicken wire OVER the TOP of them. I think it was a possum? Or a rodent of some kind, as they were planted next to a fence...it would have to be a damned climber rodent.
Aaaaah-ach! I will try again.
