I think something was in that elevator with her & I'm glad it didn't get out with me.
There are times that I ignore what my initial feelings are and try and give the person a chance. Everytime I've had a bad feeling about someone it proved true.
Linda ~ There is more to come on this topic. We were discussing this and much more over in Artistic Therapy during our BOOK STUDY last night.
Thanks you two for commenting!

Rene
Cristine ~ True -- what you have said. The Energy and/or life force that you described is visible when we utilize our spiritual eye. Some people do not have to practice -- it comes naturally. And, of course, we all have the ability to SEE auras and also into the spiritual realm. WE have the ability to do all things if we so choose. Some of us just do not choose to--(I'm not including myself in that group of people ~ lol). . . .
We were discussing the topic over in Artistic Therapy in relation to our BOOK STUDY on people with Borderline Personality Disorder. We were discussing hateful and negative people who (when you pay attention to their aura), you know when to back away from them.
And, the other thing that you mentioned, Cristine is that the aura can be felt, as well as the energy field of the person. I'll also add in that the vibrational level of a person can be felt and seen as well.
Thank you so much for adding your input and knowledge. I hope you'll visit in our BOOK STUDY too.

I always SEE rage and anger around a person as the color red. You reacted in the right way in relation to what you saw . . . "There seemed to be a "light" around her, although it was almost a light red color. Pretty weird since I always thought she was a rude and ruthless person. I steered the other way because of this." ~ Renda
Light red is not as intense a level of anger as the deeper red ~ which is what I see. The mood of a person with a light red aura can be altered quicker.
I'll give you an example. I was extremely angry one particular day ~ years ago. I had entered into the Church that I was an Administrator for at the time. The cook, who could SEE quite well (spiritually), saw me coming and ran the other way. I was "fired up" as they say, about something that had happened inside the Church that I didn't approve of. At any rate, she later came back to me after I had calmed down and explained to me that she ran because all she could see around me was flaming red and she knew I was mad about something. She was right.
When the rage, anger, and negative thinking have enveloped a person, I see it as black -- total blackness. There is absolutely no light whatsoever -- no colors anywhere. It is what I call the reprobate zone. These people usually do not believe in God at all. Then there are those who say that they believe in God, but are following the wrong path and have been led into total darkness. They have become less and less enlightened. I am more apt to stay far away from a person in total blackness spiritually speaking. It is that spirit that infests. It alters behavior, moods, reactions, judgment. It breeds negative attitudes, violent behavior, perversion, mental instability, irrational thinking, and madness.
Thanks for your comments Renda. I always love to hear what you have to say, and I will message you later this evening about what you asked about yesterday.

The interesting thing about your example of the woman in the elevator, is that you said that she was . . . "an older woman with a very sweet smile." ~ Glome
Now, we tend to think that older people with sweet smiles are harmless and nice and generally sweet. But the smile may not be genuine. I've seen deceitful, evil and wicked people have smiles on their faces and bare their teeth in an instant. Somewhat like the cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland.
We both know that it is not what is on the outside, it is what is on the inside. What you felt was the spiritual state inside of the woman and the spirit attached to her. You were loathing her spiritual state of being, and loathing the spirit that had attached itself to her. And, for all intents and purposes, it could have been more than one spirit attached to her. With your spiritual eye, you are able to SEE that too. . . .
Some things we do not want to SEE. Some things we SEE and deny. Some things we are ashamed to say we SEE for fear that people will call us crazy. But trust this ~ more people SEE in the Spirit and are quiet about it than those who don't. And there are those who SEE in the Spirit, and do not quite understand what they are seeing, so they tend to say nothing.
Hmmmmm -- lots of people like that reading this thread.
Thanks Glome!

That is KEY ~ paying attention.
I know that everyone here can probably identify with what you said about, "There are times that I ignore what my initial feelings are and try and give the person a chance. Everytime I've had a bad feeling about someone it proved true." ~ Sharon
Same here.
"Listening" ~ Being still. Paying attention to our spiritual guidance system. God is not dead, but alive. We can all think we are following whatever we think we are following, and we could be right on some level. But the bottom line is that God is in control of it all. When you turn to God, God will turn to you. God shows up in the most surprising of places all the time.
And just where is God? God is everywhere and in every thing. And who would know better about all of these people, places and things and what is to become of them?
Ask God.
Thanks Sharon ~

Thanks for a more detailed comment on the colors. I'm always intrigued to know more about things such as this and find the comments here interesting. I do not always see a person's aura. Maybe I just need to practice tuning into it more.
I'll look for your message. By the way, thanks for that too :)
Going to message you now!

Jen ~ This is an area that we will be discussing here in Artistic Therapy as it falls in line with some our other topics of discussion that we have not gotten into full force yet, such as, Energy Healing, Sound Healing, Musical Therapy, Vibrational Healing and Spiritual Healing Dynamics.
We will also be looking at Crystals and Gems in relation to the HEALING ASPECTS. There are many members here in the Group that are familiar with some of these Alternative Methods of Healing.
Blessings ~
Rene
Doc ~ I know that you are familiar with auras. It would be helpful if you would explain to the Group more on how auras can be influenced by many things. I think that this is a fascinating topic of discussion. While I know that auras are influenced by many things, I would like to hear your take on it.
Blessings ~
Rene
Do you in any way tie it into Spiritual Discernment at some point in the book?
Edgar Cayce has so many fascinating books. I have one that I am reading now (I read several books at the same time ~ lol) on "GEMS and STONES ~ Based on the Edgar Cayce Readings. It is so helpful for those who study the healing properties of gems and stones. There are many other books on crystals and their healing effects. There are so many books for those who are studying this subject . . .
"THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO ROCKS & MINERALS" by John Farndon is a good one.
"THE BOOK OF STONES" by Robert Simmons & Naisha Ahsian is also good.
"The Encyclopedia of Crystals" by Judy Hall is EXCELLENT. I love all of Judy Hall's books on the subject.
Then there is one by Jennie Harding called, " C R Y S T A L S" ~ it too is EXCELLENT.
Since you've mentioned Edgar Cayce's book, Maryanne ~ What is the name of the book that he has on auras ~ He has so many books! And, at the rate you are going in your literary pursuits, you'll surpass him! ~ HUGE HUGS . . .

HERE IS OUR DISCUSSION, and the LINK to the entire thread follows . . .
Renda Speaking . . .
Rene,
In your comment, you mentioned: "But not only is "sight" key to this, "feeling" is also key. You can feel negative vibrations and/or energy. They permeate an environment."
Since I do not always see a person's aura (although I hear that everyone emits one), I think I tend to use the feeling more. There have been numerous occasions where things just "weren't right" and I had to collect my thoughts on whether to proceed or not. Sometimes I made the right choice and sometimes I didn't.
As I said on another of your articles, maybe seeing someone's aura just takes some practice and I am going to try to tackle it. I think it would be most beneficial to not only "feel", but "see".

Renda ~ I love your closing words on your comment . . .
" I think it would be most beneficial to not only "feel", but "see"." ~ Renda
Mmmmm ~ Let's talk about this ~ The "feeling" and "SEEING" ~ The sensory gates. . . .
You said that, " I think I tend to use the feeling more." ~ Renda
I believe that everyone has a different way of sensing when it comes to feeling a situation out, a person out, a place out. One person may be perfectly aligned to another in spiritual attributes, and they get along very well together. But another person may have a spiritual war going on with that same person, and they are at odds spiritually, and thus cannot align -- so the feeling will not be a good one.
We can never discount our "feelings". Nor deny our "feelings". What looks good may be death. What "feels" right for us -- because we try to force it to "feel right", may be all wrong. But we deny our TRUE "feelings" about it. . . .
And then later, after we come upon our disasterous results, we want to kick ourselves for not listening to our "feelings".
Taking "feelings" to another level Renda ~ by your being in the medical field, I know you will be able to relate to where I am going with this, and many others will too reading this thread . . .
Parents will relate well to this. If suddenly, I feel like I have hit my head on something, and feel all the pain of it, yet I have not -- If I am highly sensitive to feeling my child, then I know that something has just happened with my child. Even though I may be miles away. We have the ability to sense what is going on with all those we are connected to. Some moreso than others because of the different connections that we have.
If I suddenly "feel" as if I have slammed my hand in a door, but have not really done so YET, and I know that I am sensitive to warnings, then I know to be careful. Most people learn to tune in to their sensory perception this way ~ the hard way. When they do not pay attention, but finally come to understand the meanings behind their "feelings" ~ particularly of pain, then they learn to listen and understand what is not said with the mouth or spoken outloud. And, more importantly, a person will realize that they did not make it up, invent it, create it or contrive it, because it was not within their power to do so. AWARENESS.
Healers and those in the medical field, as well, are more apt to "feel" the physical pain of others. If a person is not aware of this "gift" that they possess, they will think it is their own pain. But it is not. The pain "feels" very real to the person experiencing it, and it is, but it is not their own pain. Many Prayer Warriors understand that they are able to spiritually connect with those whom they must pray for. They know what they are to pray for because they can spiritually discern what that is.
Some counselors are "gifted" with the ability to hone in to a person in order to know what they are to counsel them about.
All of our "gifts" are meant to help mankind.
WE do not "feel" nor "see" to throw the "gifts" away. We have these abilities for the glory of God.
I do not refer to these abilities as "psychic abilities", although I understand why a person may refer to them this way. I refer to them as Spiritual "gifts". And, all GOOD "gifts" come from God.
No doubt, we will go into more depth on this topic, and everything mentioned here.
Now, when it comes to "sight" and "SEEING" ~ There are many ways WE SEE. Here we are talking about auras. But there are also spirits that can be seen with the spiritual eye. Depending on how we are living and walking, I believe ALWAYS, that our SIGHT is to help not only ourselves, but also others. When I say, "Help ourselves", I mean help ourselves by way of getting in line with the plans and purposes of God.
Renda ~ You know that you definitely can "SEE", because you gave us an example of an experience where you SAW. One way that helps us to SEE with better clarity, and with pure intentions, is to PRAY.
This is such a good Discussion Renda. I could go on, but I'll stop here for the moment. . . .
Blessings ~
Your Friend,
Rene

"I do not refer to these abilities as "psychic abilities", although I understand why a person may refer to them this way. I refer to them as Spiritual "gifts". And, all GOOD "gifts" come from God."
I have always considered myself having the gift of discernment. When someone is talking or I know a great deal about them right away. Not magical, just all the pieces of their persona are usally clear. Also I am very intuitive. Sometimes I see their blind spot right away ... other times I know things don't add up and I don't know why ... after a period of time and all of a sudden I know. It's like the back of my mind puts it together before the front & the warning is there before the knowledge. I always, always listen to my intuition. It has never been wrong. Sometimes the truth, once it pops out, actually works for their benefit & is good rather than bad. Ususally it's the other way around.
I'm very leery of new age thinking. I see it is scientifically possible for the electric activity of our brain to have some affect on the molecules around our head. If some people can see an aura, perhaps it is scientific rather than spiritually based. I don't know. Of course God is able to do anything but since it isn't spoken of in the Bible I'm slow to accept; or reject. I need to examine carefully first. He does say our spirit can discern their spirit that we are the children of God. All Christians have experienced that I'm sure.
I'm just laying it on the line so I can question openly.
Another thing along this line I've wondered about. Christians often condemn 2nd sight I guess you call it. Say someone that knows where a missing body is by dream or vision. That is another type of reported ability I am up in the air about. I simply don't know. Certainly God and probably Satan could both give that ability. Maybe there is a scientific theory regarding this; maybe it is all fake. I, again, have no opinion as I don't have adequate knowledge. You may have had experience along this line.
I do have a ton of info here about the Herkimer Diamonds that I'll publish (or rather link to to be kosher and not infringe on copyrights lol) when I do my mining essay.
I'm half asleep right now, tired from work so I am not very useful for the discussion right now, but just thought I would drop in because the topics are of personal interest :)
First, let me say that NEW AGE writings, thinking ~ is a term and a concept that I think so many are mixed up about. I believe that NEW AGE thinking in terms of intaking writings, talks, and understandings of other Authors on the topic will have some people screwed up in the head (and spirit -- to be blunt) ~ (I've noticed that around here in the Gather Community), and they won't know whether they are coming or going, all because most who go this route do not believe in God or are questioning the existence of God. And, frankly, if a person is steeped in God, there is not a NEW AGE writing concept, or a way of thought ~ that they will not be able to DISCERN and KNOW the TRUTH about. In fact, that goes for ANYTHING!
Glome ~ Your "gift of discernment" extends beyond what you have described above. The inner knowing works its way to the outside ~ meaning "outer knowing". That's how I'll describe it to bring into view the discerning of spirits in the visual sense. As in "auras". Just the say, you can SEE spirits on people. Just like you can "auras". I used to see them on people all the time as they were joining the Church. There are addiction spirits, murderous spirits, lust spirits, greed spirits, wicked spirits . . . and they can be SEEN and FELT
Alright ~ now, switching gears . . . in the case of NEW AGE books being shelved in Book Stores. What is categorized as NEW AGE is not NEW AGE as I see it -- (some of it anyway). It is OLD AGE repackaged. You have to be discerning when you lump some things in the category of NEW AGE -- NEW AGE CRAZY or NEW AGE REPACKAGED -- as in been around the world a million times before, and coming back in a new way with a new title to grab a new crowd?
Glome ~ You've mentioned, "If some people can see an aura, perhaps it is scientific rather than spiritually based."
If some people believe it is scientific it is because that is how they frame their thought patterns. However, I am able to SEE auras, and I am not as one would say ~ steeped in the scientific nature as you are referring to here -- although I know much about it -- not because of myself, but because it is a "gift" of God -- KNOWLEDGE about anything is attainable ~ in some cases for our own good ~ so that we are not ignorant of all of God's works. May I never be so closed minded and boxed in that I cannot learn all of the Ways of God. It is my objective to do so. God is not limited to our peanut brain concepts of Him. Trust me Glome ~ I am including myself in all that I am saying. Our God is an AWESOME God. Just AWESOME!
"Auras" ~ let the word not throw you off . . . And, the life force around each of us can be seen. The state of our health can be seen through our "auras" as well -- That is one way. The state of our health can also be seen with the spiritual eye by looking at the body of another person. You can see sickness inside the body with your spiritual eye. HEALERS and PRAYER WARRIORS, as well as ALTERNATIVE HEALTH PRACTITIONERS can SEE sickness. I am including Christian Healers in with ALTERNATIVE HEALTH PRACTITIONERS.
ALL Christians are not boxed into a denominational thought wave or a religion without works. There are Christians in the sense of following Christ and having the mind of Christ. I will not go into Gnosticism here, but I have to say that there are babes in Christ, and there are those who are well seasoned in Christ. We do not start off well-seasoned in Christ. It is a spiritual process.
Jesus Christ. Who was Jesus Christ? Do you believe that ALL Christians really KNOW HIM? Or do they just speak His name? Do you think that Christians learn more past the pulpit sermons or not? Do you think that Christians study to show themselves approved or not? KEY word being "STUDY".
I'd really like to know your thoughts on this Glome, and anyone else who wants to comment back on this.
It really has been interesting to find that most Christians are unlearned about Christ. Really. I don't say that in a degrading way, I mean that to say that Christians have got to be in the place, NOW in particular, of KNOWING Christ and worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth, and must make efforts and strides to do so. Christians have to KNOW for themselves not through someone else. Meaning, Christians should not stop at learning more about Christ. More, and more . . . right into the dawning of a brand new day.
For some, it will take a catastrophic event for this to occur ~ which is not far off . . .
Let me go to your next point on the next comment box, because I don't want to make this too long. . . .
"I have always considered myself having the gift of discernment. When someone is talking or I know a great deal about them right away. Not magical, just all the pieces of their persona are usually clear." ~ Glome
I put "Not magical" in bold because it is important that you brought that point out. I thank you for those words. There is so much to get into here, and I know I won't get to it, but there is, of course, the OCCULT. MAGIC ~ which is not a term I use, and I am not referring to the OCCULT in the sense of magic. However, I can discern what people mean, and in the sense that they mean it when they say it. . . .
Now, I'll put this forth for those who have studied Jesus Christ . . . Do you think that Jesus was learned in the OCCULT? Do you think that Jesus knew all of the Mysteries and Sciences? How do you think that Jesus turned the water to wine at the wedding in Cana? When Jesus told the woman at the well that she had had five husbands and that none of them were her husband ~ How did he KNOW that? Do you think that Jesus Christ WAS or was not KNOWLEDGEABLE about ALL there is? Are Christians told to put on the mind of Christ? Are Christians told that they can do ALL those things that Jesus Christ did and more? Do you think that Christians BELIEVE what is in the Bible? Do you think that a few Christians represent ALL Christians? Do you think that some Christians (who call themselves Christians) have heard the cock crow? Do you think that ALL Christians have FULLY read the Bible? Have ALL Christians been spiritually illuminated to ALL that is contained within the Bible unveiled? Or do most Christians just read the surface layer and go no deeper? Is the Bible foolishness to those who are not meant to KNOW?
Proverbs 14:24 ~ AMPLIFIED BIBLE
The crown of the wise is their wealth of Wisdom, but the foolishness of [self-confident] fools is [nothing but] folly.
Proverbs 27:22 ~ AMPLIFIED BIBLE
Even though like grain you should pound a fool in a mortar with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.
1 Corinthians 1:21 ~ AMPLIFIED BIBLE
For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive and recognize and know God by means of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom was pleased through the foolishness of preaching [salvation, procured by Christ and to be had through Him], to save those who believed (who clung to and trusted in and relied on Him).

"He does say our spirit can discern their spirit that we are the children of God. All Christians have experienced that I'm sure." ~ Glome
"I'm just laying it on the line so I can question openly. . . .

That is another type of reported ability I am up in the air about. I simply don't know. Certainly God and probably Satan could both give that ability. Maybe there is a scientific theory regarding this; maybe it is all fake. I, again, have no opinion as I don't have adequate knowledge. You may have had experience along this line." ~ Glome
On the discerning of spirits all Christians have the ability to do this if they have the "gift" of discernment. I am not talking about "intuition", I am talking about the "gift of discernment". The Biblical Scriptures I will provide to you Glome, and what I'll do is create another thread on this topic. All Christians are not necessarily "holy spirit filled". Therein lies the difference. Anyone can say they are a Christian. But are they holy-spirit filled? We need to visit the Book of Acts for that. And, I can go into a long dissertation on this topic, so I'll put it on another thread.
On what you have said here, Glome . . . "Say someone that knows where a missing body is by dream or vision.
I do have experience along this line, and one question I'd like for you to think on (and I'll come back to this) is ~ Why would satan want anyone to be able to find a missing body? Is it a good thing to find a missing person or not? If I am trying to find my missing relative, and I pray to find them . . . who is it who answers my prayer? Is there not people that God has everywhere with every ability under the sun who are able to work on His behalf? If I need to buy a home, and I need a real estate agent, is there not a real estate agent who is Godly and won't cheat me somewhere on the face of the planet? If so, who knows best who that person is for me? Whatever I need to know; whatever you need to know ~ can be known ~ it is the spirit within you that leads you to the Answer.
I give no credence to satan. satan has no power over me, nor does satan work through me. It is unfortunate that Christians in particular keep their eyes on something other than God when the Scriptures tell them to do otherwise. That is my feelings and thoughts on that. And truly, it racks my nerves to hear that Scripture repeated about satan being a roaring lion roaming around to see whom he may destroy. There is an opposite Scripture which I gave out that tells us that the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro throughout the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to Him.
I'll come back to this. It helps that you are so open and honest about your questioning Glome.
