Bugs, Bees & Butterflies (Photo Essay)

As I mentioned in a comment on one of the photos I posted yesterday from the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, I have about 350 photos from my several hour visit. I had more, but I deleted everything that was out of focus.

Rather than bombarding my Gather Gallery, I am grouping as many of my shots as possible into photo essays by subject. Two of the photos in here may look a little familiar, but they are completely different shots that those I posted to my gallery.

 

I'm only scratching the surface of all the beautiful and cool things I saw on my visit yesterday too. I definitely got my $12 worth and then some!

It sounds like you are just like me when it comes to photographing. I just can't stop clicking, and I can easily shoot 200 photos a day, if we go somewhere special.

I came close to filling a 2GB memory stick and I shoot my stuff at half the megapixel size since I don't print posters. I carry a spare 2 GB card also.

Marianne, I LOVE the daisy with the ladybug on it, and also love the bamboo with the dragonfly...wonderful photographs!
I'm so happy to see all the bees out and about. They have me worried, the way they are disappearing.

Gorgeous shots! I love that shot of the allium. I wanted to plant some this year but haven't yet found anyone around here selling it. I will keep searching though.

These are such wonderful shots. If I ever get to your neck of the woods this would have to be the first place to visit. It's so hard to stop taking photos, especially when each scene is prettier than the one before it. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time.

wow, Marianne... fantastic photo essay... wonderful shots of the bumblebee and other creatures...i.e. ladybug, dragonfly, etc... really beautiful close ups...

I have a 1GB and I am starting to realize that I need 2 GB, not sure if my camera can handle that.

Love your article title! You really got some great shots! And all of that for only $12. Cool! I tend to do what you're doing too - put my photos in photo essay form so as not to bombard everyone with dozens and dozens of photos.

I can't believe you took so many. surely your card doesn't carry hold that many. Do you carry extra cards with you for your camera? You don't need to answer because I will forget which pictures I was on when I asked the question :) My mind is getting old.
Loved these too ... you really are gifted to have an eye on so many different variables to capitalize on.
