The worst part of attending book fairs is that sometimes other authors forget why I'm there. They come to my table when I'm trying to interact with potential readers and stand there and talk to me about THEIR books. Some of these guys get lost in their chatter, looking me right in the eye not realizing that I'm alreadyvisualizing the duct tape over their mouth.
Gee, guess I should have been clearer, huh? ;-) We authors pay for space at book fairs so that we can sign and sell our books. So My role is to talk to readers who come to my table about my writing and my books, to see if they might be interested in taking one of my mystery novels home. At ther Philadelphia Book Fair there were more than 60 authors, so no matter what you like to read, it was there someplace.
