Sign Language with Babies does work!

I used sign language with my son when he was a baby and it was great. It made my life and his so much less stressful knowing what he wanted. He picked up the basic signs quickly and began using them too. Once he began verbal language the signing just drops off. Signing with him honestly made communication wonderful. I knew if he was all done, wanted more, wanted milk or juice...etc... I HIGHLY recommend signing with your baby. You will not regret it.

Check out this link and see for yourself how easy it can be. There are many sites online to find basic signs. We only used about 10 or so and just that was great. My son would actually wake up and immediately sign for milk vs. cry for milk. I had a calm and happy baby!!

I have seen many articles about baby signs and bought many books for my daughter on the subject. The babies were able to tell her things before being able to talk. I think it's wonderful.

Their favorite sign was for dog. They (twins now two) don't have dogs at their house, but when they were with us at our house, that made the sign every time the dogs came into their view.

this is a good thing to do,my sister-in-law taught my niece from the time she was born how to speak sign,now a days its best they are taught at an early age it helps with kids in school

I believe it builds vocabulary too. My son has a great vocabulary and he is the highest reader in his kindergarten class.

My kids favorites were "cookie" and "please". I'm ashamed to say it worked every time they put the pouty face with the two signs.

my neice is teaching her daughter sign language...i have to admit i was very skeptical but it does work and it was amazing!

My son started using signs around 1yr. We don't know many and now that he is almost 2 1/2yr he will try to sign instead of talk to say please and more. But it is great for communicating with toddlers that are just learning everything!
