The Strangest Thing Happened!

I purchased one of those silver globes from Walmart a few weeks ago, you know the silver ones you put in your garden?

Well the strangest thing happened....

We had a hot spell a couple of weeks ago

and all the metalic silver melted off.

Now it's a clear globe! I still think it's cool and you can see through it now...

I had the same thing happen and I think I got mine at Walmart, too. Buyer beware!

Mine sat there for a year, kind of half clear and half metalic, and then we had a hail storm and it shattered.

wow! Mike seems to think it is probably a defect. He has sold them before and never had trouble with them. I did notice one near our house that is starting to turn, but I have no idea where they might have gotten it.

Good to know. I was actually going to buy one of those this summer. Now I won't. If I want a clear globe, I'll buy one that is clear to begin with! I would take it back if I were you.

I thought about taking it back, but I don't have the box any longer and I have no idea where the recept is. It's a good thing I like it clear! LOL.... I've only had it since the end of April! I don't know if it was made in China or not, but I wouldn't doubt it......
