Horse lovers are special!

Dear dear Mariana
Sometimes something wonderful happens just when you need it. I had one of those days when nothing worked out....and here....from you....is this great happy and delightful surpprise.

First of all....about ultra polite. It may seem like that but when you meet me you'll see the real me. Very ordinary. Kind of happy laid back. We'll talk a lot, laugh a lot, walk a lot and sip our coffee cups and wine glasses.
We'll talk about paintings and writing and I'll have some of that Kahlua coffee thanks.

We'll talk about everything but one subject will be the South African boer pony. It's actually a horse od Andalusian stock. There's no greater friend for the local farmers. When the farmer needs him to do so, it will stand rock still. Some politicians have even given their speeches standing on their boer pony.
It's also one of those rare horses that easily learns to tripple. If you really want a comfortable ride, teach your horse to tripple.

Thank you for this photo. I'll copy it and put it in my collection of favourites. The orse is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. I can even smell the dust.

Ok well, I'm going up to my friend's ranch soon and shoot (with camera) some of his horses. I should have many more after tomorrow's rodeo!!! How sweet, Mariana, and you couldn't have done it for a nicer man. No matter what, he is always kind, and always a gentleman, and I appreciate him for that. His stories are beautiful and always have a lesson in them of some sort. When you read a story of Fred's there is a moral that you can take with you for the rest of your life. And I value you that.

What a wonderful tribute to a gentleman that I really admire! Fred is a kind, gentle soul and I always love to see his face around here.

Thanks for doing this tribute to Fred , he is a wonderful kind and caring man, everything he writes shows that, and his comments are jewels we all love to keep and re read later , I know I do, and my dream is one day to dance with Fred, (guess I'd better hurry up) lol.
