This week is Teacher Appreciation Week at his school. It's a special week to show the teacher's how much we appreciate them! The PTO brings them goodies for lunch all week, each day is a different "theme" for the food. We have special drawings, the kids make special stars to hang on their teacher's door, etc.
A note is sent home the week prior to remind parents and students that it's coming up and the kids are encouraged to make a nice card for their teacher or bring in a small gift. Although it's not required by any means!
Well, on Monday morning, I set a few small gift items on the counter and told Chandler that he could pick one and take it to school for his teacher. He looks at me and says, "MOM, it's teacher appreciation WEEK not teacher appreciation DAY, so I need to take her something every day this week!"
I just thought it was so cute and thoughtful! I couldn't break his thoughtful heart. So, he's taken his teacher a little gift every day this week!
Monday: A garden ornament/stake
Tuesday: A coffee mug filled with candy
Wednesday: A mini photo album
Thursday: A bottle of bubble bath
Today he's taking: a potted flower and a card he made

Look at those eyes! A cutie pie!
My five-year-old had his last day at pre k today, so he wanted to bring his teacher flowers. He picked a beautiful little bouquet, and he was so proud. When he got to the school, he changed his mind. All of a sudden he was embarrassed to give his teacher's flowers. He did give them to her though, although he turned bright red:)
One question though....is it the teachers that send the note to remind you that Teacher's week is coming up? That struck me as funny:)
God Bless him.
