I've been wanting to try this one of these days but never have had the time yet.
Let me know if any of you try it and how it turns out.
One last thing,I'm not really sure what the exact mixing directions are or what spices are used so let me know what you try and how it turns out, please.
This recipe is from an old church cookbook.
Thanks so much and God Bless You.
Sounds good, but, I would not try it. That would be costly without more info.
I wish I knew what spices but I have no idea,it doesn't ,emtion specifically which spices are used,I looked up this verse in my Bible,it says,Taking Jesus' body, the tow of them wrapped it with the spices,in strips of linen.this was in accordance with Jewish burial customs.
The verse above talks about Myrrh and Aloes,I don't think either one of these would be very tasty in a cake.
I don't know what type of pan to bake it in,or what flavor it should be.
It seems as though it might be along the lines of a fruitcake because it has raisins and figs and almonds.
I wish both my Grandmothers were still able to tell me the answers to these questions, one just passed away in March and the other won't live very much longer once the feeding tube is removed later this month or the early part of June. She's not coherent enough to be able to help me.
