Barack Obama's canidacy is becoming apparently more and more divisive. With terms like Racism and Sexism floating in the air it looks now like he cannot count on long time democratic support. Geraldine Ferraro the one time Democratic Nominee for Vice President of the United States has said in a New York Times that, "I think Obama was terribly sexist." Compare that with the fact that NBC reported on the air tonight that 41% of the Clinton voters in the democratic primary in Kentucky would vote for McCain over Obama. It is hard to trace why such a division has taken place. The division seems to be happening on just gender lines but also the fact that moderate democrats find Obama to be too far left for their taste. The question now as Obama emerges as the presumtive nominee is can he moderate his message to pick up the rest of these votes and in doing so can he prevent from alienating his current supporters?

I am on the right side the one that actually respects the Constiution and does not want to turn America into the Handout Society.
We won't even discuss what's going to happen to the GOP in the next couple of months, as the neocons, the religious freaks, the libertarians, and real conservatives begin to tear the party apart for control.
More bullshit. The difference between democrats handing out money and republiCONs handing out money is that democrats are paying as they go, are using the upper class' money, and are investing in the future growth and success of this country, while republiCONs are stealing what they hand out from our children and grandchildren, and are handing it to millionaire corporate campaign donors, while destroying the nation's future.
You need to yank your sorry ass away from the Limbaugh's, Hannity's, O'Reilly's, and the rest of the rightwing propagandists and start opening your eyes and seeing what's going on around you. Your party is destroying our country with its unending handouts to millionaires.
Another good article MDP!
I am in KY. I usually vote democrat.... I don't know who I will vote for this time around. I do know if the choice is Obama, this "sweetie" isn't voting for him! Hillary - maybe. McCain - probably not. I know a lot of republicans in my state that don't want to vote McCain and even more democrats that aren't going to vote for Obama. Soooooooo as far as poll results are concerned in the media.... what a JOKE! They aren't polling here!!!!
Modern you have opposed me at every turn and then you make that statement.
The ONLY qualified candidate is DR. RON PAUL we all know it. Sure there is disagreement on some things but he is the ONLY proven Constitutionalist of the bunch.
Clinton had a reputation of being divicise before the race started.
The most polarizing figure in American politics is her.
The race is over, people are divided and you attribute it to Obama? That's pure BS or short sighted. Obama has brought in a coalition of unlikely poeople. Clinton has women (a diverse coalition) and everyone who hates an African American.
The koolaid crowd have their panties in a bunch over this post.
Notice how the koolaiders attack you personally when they can't come up with a good argument.
They don't want to know about bammy's oil brigade or his leftist friends. He's their "feel good" character. The fact that he's all talk and NO substance doesn't really matter to them.
