Crist is a paternalistic neo-Repub and a virtual copy of McCain. Romney is another political shape shifter that is no different than McCain/Obama/Clinton.
In the unlikely event that they win, I want somebody who knows what the heck is going on. McCain doesn't, Mitt does.
But Crist would be a good choice also as he's done well with Florida in my opinion.
There has been alot of talk about Lieberman, and I have mixed emotions about him. McCain already runs far enough to the left to capture the same moderate voters that Lieberman would bring to the table so I dont think there is much advantage for him in that regard. On the other hand having Lieberman on the ticket might allow McCain to capture Connecticut which is a State Obama is counting on.
Don't look now, but his "far left beliefs" are right smack in line with the vast majority of America. Ooops.
Btw, Obama is every bit qualified. He's well-educated, brilliant, charismatic, and is well enough aware of the world around him to know who are enemies and friends in the middle east are, which is far more than you could say for McLame.
You're dreaming if you think that decades of cozying up to corrupt lobbyists is a valid qualification.

No he is not, he has refused to lead in any office he has served in because everytime he was too busy running for a new office to make him feel better about himself. It is about ego for him not the people. If it was about policy he actually would have spent some time serving his constiuents.
He should choose someone who can take a licking. Cause that is what is going to happen, It really does not matter who he picks, HE HAS ALREADY LOST THE ELECTION.
I suspect that if you were to more carefully examine the career of Obama you would find a person who did not start out to be a politician, in fact he started out to be an advocate for the poor and minorities. It was only after he was offered an opportunity to enter the Illinois state Legislature that it became clear to him how much of an impact he could have as a politician.
I think you should take a real look at Mr. Obama's background instead of parroting the blather of the Nattering Nabobs of Negativism who seem to think that an optimist is someone who checks people out for glasses.
