Cool link to calculate electricity costs

I thought this was really neat.  I am in Texas and was surprised to find out that the cost is quite a bit higher than the national average.  Anyway, you can see how much it costs to power everything from your A/C to your coffee pot!  http://michaelbluejay.com/electricity/howmuch.html

That is very cool!

It does not take that much to run the X-Box 3 60. Darn I was wanting to use that as an excuse to get my husband and sone to do something else. LOL

I'm not too worried about electric costs since I relocated to another city. Where I used to live, my gas and electric bills during the winter were a good $250-$300...and there was only me in the house. (Gas to heat was the most of that cost.) Where I am now, heat is included in my rent and my electric bill runs about $32 a month. Can't beat a dollar a day for power. My refrigerator and computer run constantly 24 hours a day. I have the television on sometimes 10 or more hours along with a couple of lights. I'll have the air conditioner on this summer, but that only added maybe another $10-$15 onto my bill when I had it going at the end of last summer.

Wow, that was an eye opener. I already unplug many items when not in use. The toaster, coffee pot, some lights, my laptop once in awhile....

You are welcome everyone! We have been trying hard to conserve electricity lately and have been really working on making our kids more aware. I hate to walk into a room with no one in it and the TV is on!!
