Keep Your Hope Alive

Time races on by,
Days quickly fly
We never might know
How soon will we die.

Seldom we find out
The what and the whys.
All we have left are
Our loved ones who cry

Trouble does come
and trouble does go
Few see it coming,
We all have our woe

The luck of the draw
The throw of the dice
When it comes to death
There's no way that's nice.

We can live each day
As if it's our last
For soon it becomes
Something in the past

Things may look different
When things go all wrong,
All it may take to change is
A call on the phone.

There's no way of knowing
Which way winds will pass
Seeing tomorrow escapes us
Through any looking glass

Fears reach out to keep
All our hopes at a bay
Keeping us trapped
In worrying  all day

God knows life's not easy
No rose garden here
He knows what's beyond
We'll be happier there

No matter what happens
We know the Lord cares
No matter the burden
He helps us to bear

Rainbows and sunsets
The stars out at night
God's promises to us
He shows us delights

Signs of great wonder
Signs of Christs Love
More spectacular sights
When He descends from above

Sing praises to the Lord
Knowing we're in His hand
Tomorrow we'll all go home
To His promised land.
