My Points Have Stopped?

Last night I commented away, adding 90 comments for the winners of a contest I had held.

At the end of the day, I had only 21 new points, which was really disappointing.

Today I have commented on maybe 20 images and articles, and yet my points haven't increased.
I'm concerned that I might have got blocked or something.

I just posted 7 new images, and I already see comments, so I hope to see my points going up.

I'm just under 2,800, almost there at my first 3,000 level, and I'd love to achieve this by Friday night.
I hoped to with my competition, but now I'm worried that my efforts to get here might have been in vain.

Have your points stopped since last night, or is it just mine?

hmmm, my total is going up nicely. I notice that it updates between 5 and 10 past the hour --- Good luck!

my points have been sluggish and not coming in also for almost a week now. I emailed support and they said my points were correct. But I posted a lot of new articles and pics in the those few days and only got 20 points from all of it. And also from all the comments put on all my new stuff, i have not gotten very many points from that.

Don't worry you will get what you earned..Sometimes it seems my points won't move. Than I see a jump increase. But I also log every night when I leave Gather.

I am on cash so I don't see the points every hours. My cash total has been slow but not stopped all together. Remember the pointsa are updated around 5 - 10 minutes pat each hour. If you don't see any gain soon I would contact support to see if there is a problem with your account.

I got a lot of points this morning. I was on for 2 hours and saw a 31 point increase. Don't know what is going on with your points.

My points have been moving a bit slow thats all. I dont stress over it though. I feel I eventually get what I deserve.

I wonder if they're harder to get the closer you are? Mine seem to come in spurts. and do you need to refresh your browser?

My points didn't move for almost 2 months. They started adding up again after I complained.

Mine are still rising, as far as I can tell. However, I should point out that 90 comments on one person are not as effective as one comment on ninety people... Share the love! (Seriously, go try commenting on some of the content linked in Comment Speedway or Rating Resurrectionists' features; it'll help!)

Looks like I am not alone - maybe they changed something since the upgrade.
I know I put in over 100 comments and got 21 points for that plus some other commenting.
I did what I could today, but the next week is going to be a busy one for me, so I guess I can say goodbye to making 3,000 before the end of the month.
But - I might just get lucky and find some time...

Hope you all get your points too.
Maybe they changed the formula for giving points.

My points have gone up little by little. They have not gone down. I hope that they never do that would be a waste of my time.

Mine stopped....just stayed the same, though people were commenting on my artwork, and I was commenting on their posts.

if you leave more than one comment on someones stuff it still counts as one because we earn by page views not how many comments. so say if you viewed only 21 one different things but left 40+comments on those 21 things. Then you really wasted your time cause you only really going to get credit for 21

Stopping by to try and help. I am excited that I got the cash option, and I hope you will too> I am so fa behind from going back up north. I have heard all sorts of different things about how we earn points. Page views, how many comments we get...I heard that we don't get points for commenting ourselves, but who knows!

individual page views. adding several comments on one piece by the same person will not get the person posting the piece extra points. And remember, we don't get points for comments. It is important to remember that. It might be page views. Individual page views.

I believe that it is clicks, page views, whatever you call it. But comments are nice to show the person you were there and what you think of their work. If you want to help someone, go to every bit of content they have. Have them do the same for you.

But there might be a glitch too.

I don't understand the points system and am really not focused on that. Maybe I should pick a month and get focused on it. Course, I'd have to quit writing on my blog or anywhere else to do so, I think.

Some glitch took away at least 400 or more of my emails from gather. They were in my bulk. But I was not receiving any new ones in yahoo either. That may be why we all had such a time in May getting our goals, we had set for ourselves. I work very hard on gather and play just as hard taking to my friends.
