The CDC now formally recommends the shingles vaccine, called Zostavax, for people age 60 and older. The vaccine is expensive, and until now insurance coverage for the vaccine has been inconsistent. With the official endorsement, it's likely that the vaccine will be included in preventive health insurance products.
