Romance Writing Contest--deadline June 6

No, this isn't like the FCR many of us suffered through, this is a contest for all romance writers hoping to get their work in front of an agent or editor.

The Northwest Houston Chapter of RWA is holding their annual Lone Star Writing Contest.  The deadline for the contest is June 6.  To learn more about the contest just go to their website here.

Elsie, unfortunately I don't know of any contests that take memoirs, but from what I hear editors are always looking for those. Try agent Sharlene Martin, I think she's reps memoirs.

Joanna and Christine, this contest is open to anyone with a manuscript...published or unpublished. As long as you live on planet Earth, you're eligible. ;-)

ENTRY FEE: $20 NWH members; New lower fee! $25 non-NWH members -- I am leary of having to spend money, in this case for a contest, in order to be qualifying as a contestant. However, the opportunity is great should the best work speak itself, despite an 'entry fee'. . .
