David, I wuld love mind reading too..but then I thought maybe we don;t want to know what people around us are thinking! LOL!
karen, that is a good reason for being invisible! LOL!
Carol, I am so sorry about your son.
The only substitute for us earth bound is parasailing which is divine!! Once up you only want to go higher and higher and over the clear blue sea in Cancun and Cozumel you feel as free as you could ever be and don't ever want to come down. All of this and I am afraid of heights but it is so different once up there. You've really got to try it at least once in your life time. ;)

I can fly in my dreams, in my mind, and by plane when I'd like a literal rendition.
I can become invisible any time I choose. Just not be around ~ ahahhha!
I already have the ability to read people's minds ~ it is a spiritual "gift".
And the super strength -- Well when needed, I just ASK GOD.

Everyone is always telling that I should know what they are thinking.
Getting a birds eye view of the world while soaring through the sky with the birds would work for me.
As for me its hard to decide. I mean if I wa snear a girls locker room then invisibility would be handy.
Strength would be cool for awhile BUT then evceryone would be buggin me to move things or open jars. Ha Ha Ha
FLYING would be cool as a sensation BUT since I'd have to be dressed to do it, I'd rather fly invisible.
I think reading people's minds would get old as most people just arent that interesting. AND those that ARE would pose too complex of a problem to manipulate with the reading info.
SO I guess my choice is flying, and I will just have to wear pants during my flights.
We can't have everything, though, right. LOL
Seems to be the thing to have in all those dreams where you need to escape. Also, isn't it the greatest subconscious wish of all of us wingless humans? It would really be convenient for popping around for errands, too-- wouldn't have to fight traffic or hunt (or pay) for parking spaces.
Though i second Esther's choice, if you haven't tried parasailing you simply must. I did my little parasail off the coast of Myrtle Beach, SC - it was fantastic!
I am able to read minds up to a point even at that people
are always wary around me.
The one thing I would like to be able to do is teleport from place to place - maybe that is a 'sort' of flying. I just hate travel time, I want to be THERE now! I WOULD also probably have to be invisible or people would wonder 'What WAS That!' hee hee!

I sarted the question of the day to get people thinking...even if it is just in fun....we spend too much time these days doing mindless things like texting and watching tv... I just wanted to make you all think ;-)
Let's see:
the ability to fly... Nah. I'd probably end up being shot down by the military, or some kid with a rifle; although it would be fun to soar with eagles or wing like a bat.
invisibility... Maybe. Being invisible can lead to all sorts of unhappy accidents caused by others not being able to know that you are in a given spot. Being able to wear clothes that would also turn invisible would be a critical factor.
the ability to read minds... No way. People think all kinds of things that they would never say, and I wouldn't want to be privy to the sewage that could come from that.
super strength... I guess this one. Although I'd worry about accidentally crushing someone's hand in a handshake, or breaking a bottle when I tried to twist off a cap, or accidentally paralyzing my gal when we.., well.., you know.

I just wanted to stop by since I am finally going through what is now listed as under 4,800 pieces of gather new mail that is sitting in my inbox on here.
With that mentioned I just came across either a mailing from you yourself, or someone else brought this piece to my attention. You or they felt that your creation should be shared with the gather community, which I am very glad that it was passed on to me to view.
