On the road with my new book - come by!

Hey y'all -
So my new novel, The Safety of Secrets (Avon A/HarperCollins $13.95 - or only 11 on amazon!) is coming out next Tuesday, May 27th, and my book tour is starting that night, too. I'll be in lots of places all summer, and it would be really wonderful to see y'all. So please come by and say hey. And if you get a chance to pick up my book, I'd  love to hear what you think. I also do phone chats with book groups, if that is of interest.  Anyway, hope you have a great week! :)
Here's a synopsis of my novel:
"Now we're just alike." So begins Fiona and Patricia's friendship that warm autumn morning in first grade in Lake Charles, Louisiana, their bond forged ever closer by Fiona's abusive mother and Patricia's neglectful one. Their relationship is a source of continuity and strength through their move to L.A. to become actresses; through Fiona's marriage and not-yet-famous career; through Patricia's ups-and downs with men and sudden fame. When their husbands' needs and Hollywood pressures exact a toll, the women wonder if their friendship can survive. But the true test of their devotion is just beginning. I agree with Vicki, not many authors come to NJ. I don't think I can get to Sleepy Hollow NY but will see what the hubby says. Your schedule does look pretty busy. I am glad though that you have time for your sons.

Don't get too worn out by that awesome tour schedule, Delaune. Quite a schedule you have going. Your cousin is Andre Dubus? Wow. You have three in Mass., I notice...That is excellent. Braintree is not all THAT far from me. Well, they are all sort of far but Braintree is about half an hour.

This is fabulous news. Congratulations to you!

I bookmarked your website, because I wanted to be sure to find the book whenever I wanted it -- like maybe your own book signing event at Borders, San Francisco.

But no tour in San Francisco!!!? Statistically speaking, we have a high level of readership, highly educated population, and that surprises me; I'm sure the schedule shall be modified as time goes on, plus Gather might even get John Philipp to host some events for you there.

(See how hard I'm trying to sell the idea. I would just really love to meet you at a book signing event.)

Thanks for sending me a connection invitation. I just love Mariana, the first place I met Mariana was at her book signing at the Southland Mall in Houma. I see you have several La dates in early june I hope to make. I drive trucks so ya never know where ya gonna see me at next.
I have a new granddaughter due 6/22 but I don't think she plans on waiting that long, so alot of what I do will be decided upon by that child's actions.
